The Ancient Siam City (Muang Boran) – Bangkok – Thailand
© Copyright on all photographs – Allan Rufus
Ancient Siam is a park constructed under the patronage of Lek Viriyaphant and spreading over 200 acres (0.81 km2) in the shape of Thailand. Ancient Siam is located on the old Sukhumvit Highway, about 33 km south-east of central Bangkok.
Ancient Siam is dubbed as the world’s largest outdoor museum and the replicas were constructed with the assistance of experts. Unfortunately, I was only there for 2 hours so did not get to see all of the sites on offer (I may have to return to see the rest). It did give me a good idea about the heritage of Thailand and it’s culture, and makes me want to travel to the real sites scattered around Thailand.
Enjoy the photographs! 🙂

Allan Rufus travelling around The Ancient city by golf cart
Golf carts and bicycles can be hired for moving around the park, and private vehicles are also allowed at a fee. I took a gold cart because of my limited time here, although a bike would have been great exercise but also considering the heat, I think a golf cart was a better option.
