Wat Traimit Temple of Golden Buddha

On the 28th December 2012 I went sightseeing and ended up at the Golden Buddha in China Town. Wat (Temple) Traimit houses the world’s largest golden seated Buddha measuring nearly five metres in height and weighing five and a half tons.

I took the photo of the Temple and then went to do a prayer by the lanterns on the right of the main Temple building, and then I went up to where the Golden Buddha sits. I was feeling very much at peace as I had a really enjoyable day taking in the sights, sounds, colours, textures and the street life of Bangkok, as well as the rush of China town. There was so much to look at, and as I enjoy taking photographs, I am always look at things to see if I can get a picture of it.

I took off my shoes and entered the room and got an amazing, wonderful feeling of love and a warm feeling over me. I did a little thank you prayer infront of The Golden Buddha and then waited for a gap inbetween the people praying to get the picture.

When I got home and put the images on my computer, I noticed these rainbow lights and aura coming out the entrance where the Golden Buddha sits, and at the left of the stairs. I am really amazed to see these wonderful lights. I did not see any lights at the time while there, but did have a light happy feeling. 🙂

The one thing that strikes me is that every time you take a different picture, the colour of the Golden Buddha changes, as if it has a life of different moods!

I was standing outside the Golden Buddha room and took this photo, and only once I got home and looked at the pictures did I see these orbs around the Buddha. They are fairly large orbs!
